It seems that my gums are healing fairly well. I'm still being careful with solid foods, but they hurt less every day, and they seem to stop hurting more quickly after they begin to ache. We have our follow-up visit tomorrow morning, and I think we might try to bring a few things to the apartment while we're in the area anyway. Still nothing big, but any little bit moved now is less to move later. We're both really anxious to get into the new place, and we're pretty anxious to just have something productive to do.

We spent Friday night and most of Saturday with Derrick, which was very nice although it makes being back here just that much more annoying. Derrick showed me a few things on the bass, and I think I made a good bit of improvement over just one night. I'm hoping to get enough skills in to at least jam with everyone there. If the next couple of sessions go well, I'll buy a bass of my own so I can practice more at home because I need a good bit of work on fundamentals to catch up to where everyone else is. Tara learned a little bit of keyboard and tried out her voice as well, so this whole band thing seems to be coming together.

I need to take care of a few things with regard to school, too, but I think that's going to wait until at least Tuesday. I still have some time, but I want to settle as much as possible so I don't have to worry about it later while we're in the middle of moving.

I want a muffuletta, but I don't think I can chew that much...yet.
