This morning, i finally got the wireless network set up (don't look at me like that, the laptops just came in yesterday, and my mother needed a username and password which she couldn't remember to make use of the internet connection), so I'm now on my allegedly portable laptop, getting everything set up the way i like it. I have Trillian functional again, except for ICQ, which I can worry about later.

I enjoyed running into the Parkers yesterday, and I know I still need to make plans with several people, but family stuff seemed more immediate, and appointments with oral surgeons to discuss the removal of wisdom teeth puts roadblocks in my schedule. I'll disseminate the new cell phone number soon (and this one will last since Tara and I are now on my mother's plan, not Virgin's pay as you go service).

We've started sending emails about apartments, and we'll hopefully be able to find something soon even if we don't actually move in for a little while. I set aside tomorrow as a sort of slack day. my only goal is to set up the LAN so we can file share between my mother's desktop, my desktop, and the laptops. Tara's desktop suffered some damage in shipping, so we're again in the process of filing an insurance claim. It looks like it's just the power supply this time, so it shouldn't be that hard to replace. I just can't do anything with it until the claim is approved.
