On Friday, I received some money from my parents through the mail. Later the same day, as I walked to the bus stop from my seminar, I saw a copy of The Psychedelic Experience a manual for guiding a trip based on the Bardo Thodol authored by Timothy Leary, Richard Alpert (aka Ram Dass) and Ralph Metzner. I have the book in pdf, but I wanted a hard copy for ease of flipping around. I decided to put one with the other and went downtown today (Saturday) to get it. I found it pricey, as was Confessions of a Hope Fiend when I found it last summer. However, I maintain a ban on bargaining for anything I buy in connection with magic, and the time seemed right.

I had a relaxing if uneventful day other than a short trip downtown. I decided to spend the day not in my right mind, and I have found success in that goal. I read about some things I hadn't read about before (check this out) , and feel a good bit more optimistic and in tune than I have in the past week. On the whole, I feel good.

Random question, a reward for anyone who read this far: Do you think that extraterrestrial life exists and currently makes or has attempted to make contact with or otherwise interact with Terran lifeforms?
