I have worked myself pretty hard this week, so I took it easy Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I don't plan on diving in head first tomorrow, either. I have the time now, and I have made steady progress. I took a trip Friday night, and smoked a bowl lsat night. I feel good now.

Are you going to Bauhaus? Maybe I'll see you there. I'll be the guy in black.

Really, any kind of mushrooms! But mostly just the cheap-ass white cap kind you get in paper bags at Safeway.
More school happened. More school ought to happen until sometime near the beginning of what Westerners call December. Candians celebrate thanksgiving this coming Moon's Day, so I don't have one of my seminars this week. I took the oppurtunity to take my reading light since I had a busy weekend last weekend and felt like I needed a break. I have all my reading for...

Oh, I'm not complaining...It was just funny when I brought up my profile and saw the 2 pics (she's on my faves list) side by side.
Ok, it's a bit into the semester now, and I think things are going well.
I have a regular meditation schedule, which has helped me relax after a tough day, and even get some work done when I would otherwise feel too drained. My on-campus time is spread out over all five days of the week, and not concentrated on three. I have gotten enough...

Classes at UBC started today. I didn't have any classes today, but I did have a few errands to run on campus, so I got to take in the new school vibes floating around. Honestly, I don't like this part of the term because I know that my schedule has yet to solidify, so I have no perspective on my free time. Half of my...

OK, I haven't updated because I've been preoccupied, but an update is in order. Thanks to anyone who asked how things are going for my family, I appreciate it. My grandparents went to stay with a relative who was more out of the path of the storm. My mother stayed because she works for the Sheriff's Office in her parish, so she was at the...

So, a Category 5 hurricane is heading into New Orleans where my family lives (they actually live in a small town outside of the city, but close enough). Maximum sustained winds are 175 mph last time I checked. I just called my parents house and they didn't answer, so I assume that sometime between yesterday when I talked to them and now they've decided to...

Your family ok?
I saw Jesus Christ: Vampire Hunter tonight. Wow. Not much can be said for this one. It certainly hit the NOWFF vibe I miss, one of those movies so bad that the badness seems intentional. Worth watching for a laugh at, not with. Honestly, I felt that there were a total of five minutes of what I might call decent acting, all at the end...

Ponderings:
If we let food just be a matter of taste so much, why do we assume that we all see the same? (This thought curtesy of Tara).
If I am already skeptical of cultural belief systems, then wouldn't experiences designed to get me to see the matrix also have less impact. I can see the fnords; I could since reading RAW. I've always been...

I just hooked up with a new forum. It's a ground-up sort of thing; Tara and I got in early thanks to an invite from Fenris23. I'm feeling the optimism I normally feel when something's coming together. As much of an individualist as I am, I feel pretty good about belonging to a group, especially a group of like-minded people, interested in the same (or...

I finally managed to try psilocybin mushrooms. I got an ounce of dried shrooms about a week and a half ago. I spent the last few days getting myself ready, exercising, meditating, reading books that I wanted to think about, and listening to good music. In an attempt to avoid the possibility of feeling nauseated, I fasted all day yesterday. Nothing but water.

I just realized that sometime this summer marks ten years since I started studying magick. I was 14, about to start my freshman year of high school, and I read some trashy Llewlyn book about dragon magick. I've moved on a great deal from there, but ten years is a good long time to have been studying the occult. For one, everything I knew came...

Posing a question: Do you think pot helps you in your meditative mind? Like do you feel like it pulls associations and images out of a part of your brain that you relate with meditation and concentration? I am debating with myself. Because I come up with all these theories and find truth about the secret knowledge in all sorts of things, but I am very two-sided in my thoughts, and I begin to guilt myself and tell myself that I am making it up and talking crazy. If you could help affirm either side of this debate in my head, that would be much appreciated.

OK, in order to do more work with the Law of Fives and its various corollaries, I intend to begin posting a daily Erisian numbers column. If you don't like it, you can't have any.
For today:
Today's date is 8/05/2005
Just to start, there are two obvious fives, in the day at the end of the year. However, the more astute observer will also...
