Spring Break in Seattle

I spent six days in Seattle for Spring Break. The day after I finished finals, I hopped on a plane and got the fuck out of the Bay Area. I needed a break from everything, and one of my best friends just happens to live in the Emerald City. So I figured what better way to unwind after what seems like a lifetime of all work (and school) and no play than to drown my sorrows with a good friend in a city I've always wanted to visit? It's a beautiful city, and I strongly encourage people to visit it. The weather isn't exactly ideal for most people, but If you look past the constant rain, you'll see a very modern metropolis full of culture and life. I absolutely loved it there, and now it's official: I'm going to move there at some point in my life.

From the rooftop patio of my friend's apartment in South Lake Union.

On top of the Space Needle, facing Puget Sound.

Still on top of the Space Needle, but this time facing Downtown.

Pike's Place, looking towards the cityscape. I was fucking freezing there, since it's right next to the water.

Somewhere near Alki Beach, which is across the Sound from Seattle. That city looks good from any angle.

EMP Museum. That wall that is reflecting the Space Needle is actually purple, it's just hard to see in this image.

Somewhere Downtown...

Unicorn Bar in Capitol Hill. Anyone visiting Seattle: DEFINITELY check this place out. Everything is Carnival-themed, including the food. There is also a downstairs area that has its own bar, a karaoke stage, and a pinball arcade.

Also downstairs in Unicorn: a claw machine with sex toys as prizes. Seriously.

My friend Andre and I, incredibly wasted, at...I can't even remember the name of that bar. I'm not even sure how I was able to take this picture...

This was at a store called Dusty Strings in the Fremont District. I shit you not, they had $15,000 guitars there (not pictured here, unfortunately), and the employees encourage people to play them!! That is a level of trust that I can't even fathom.

I took plenty more pictures while I was there, but I don't feel like uploading all of them.

If and when you visit the US, I strongly urge you to visit the West Coast.  We have the best beer, the prettiest scenery, and most importantly, we actually have intelligent life forms!  Stay out of the South and the Midwest...that's where all of the Trump supporters are.
