Have you been travelling much? Seeing the sights around the city?

I hope you feel better soon. I've been able to escape the grasp of depression for probably the past few months- but I find myself getting increasingly irritated with people around me lately, especially my siblings and it isn't fair since they're just being kids. I need to make some changes soon in regards to my living situation.

Maybe you can try that air mattress that's about 2 or 3 feet high that way you aren't so close to the floor when it's time to go to bed. I find it to be somewhat more comfortable.

I don't know what I'm going to do.
I've had some really great shows of support and friendship lately.

Cool, things are looking up for you finally. I slept on an air mattress for months at one point when I had my own apartment.

I'm sorry you couldn't bring the dogs with you there. I had the pleasure of owning a Pomeranian for a few weeks before I had to give him away because my mom doesn't like pets.....I couldn't bring him to ny with me. Even in that short time I had him I still miss him. I can't even imagine how you are feeling.

I hope you get to go to China. I'd like to go to Japan one day- I've been there, but only for a few hours and didn't get to see much so I don't think it counts.

Are you gong to stay in LA until you find work? Or is it just for interviews and then go back home?


I ran away from home once when I was 17, I slept in Central Park one night and spent the next night sleeping on subway cars. I remember the conductor comng up to me like, 'what the hell are you doing? Go home!'

I was the only female in a car full of homeless guys. I was planning on running off to Miami, but I couldn't get cash out of my bank acct for some reason. So I ended up going back home.

I've tried to explain this to people, but few understand and some think I'm sorta creepy...

I loves me some critters, and I've always had pets, and having pets sometimes means putting them down. I never could afford to take them to the vet, so I learned how. It's not easy for me, and I take no pleasure from it.

Since then it seems like I've been stuck with that job a lot. I've become some kind of Jack Kervorkian for sick puppies and kitties. I've had to put down my friend's and relative's pets, it's no easier when it's somebody else's.

Not one of them has suffered, and I'm proud of that.

Growing up out in the country has caused myself to have my fair share of dogs and cats that have had to be put down, or hit by cars or shot by the cranky old farmer across the street.

One dog I had was shot by said farmer in the back. The dog lost control of his bodily functions - he couldn't go on his own, we had to use a catheter - and he couldn't wag his tail. We tried and hoped but eventually he had to be put down. My dad did it, he gave me the gun afterwards and said he never wanted to see it again...

Sometimes it has to be done though, for the good of the pet and yourself. Hard as it may be.

Do they have like YMCA's or anything that you could lay up in for a couple of days if you needed to? Maybe look ahead of time for something like that so you know where they are.

Maybe scratch up some cash if you can (or even want to get back) and get a bus ticket back home in case you get stuck. Having that already taken care of might take some of the strain off.

There used to be a hog farm a few miles up the road from me. In the summer time when it got real hot and if a lucky breeze picked up it would being that pig shit stench into town like the four horsemen of the apocalypse.

I swear if you were to light a match within 50 yards of the place you'd have some rapidly expanding, and exploding gases...

Thankfully the place got bought out and "developed". Now it's suburbanite heaven, townhomes built on old pig shit pools. A match made in heaven.

I know of some spots that you can enjoy with on a low budget. Send me an email when you fly into town, and I can forward you the stuff.

When you move to a bigger city it will be easier to find clothing you like and in your size.
I have a hard time shopping for jeans long enough for this almost 6ft frame.

Either they are too short, or when I find the ones long enough, they are cut for the size 2 and 4 ladies. So I'm in the dressing room struggling to get them past my thighs.

That's the way it is everywhere. Every employer wants more work for less money...

I've thought long and hard about this general problem. The getting paid what I think I'm worth and being able to sustain a reasonably comfortable lifestyle...

At least getting out of the work what I put into it instead of a fraction of the earnings I help make an employer.

The only real way out is working for yourself.
Of course, that has it's own brand of headaches and risk as well.
