Lloyd Cole was great. McCabes is such a small intimate venue that any show would be great to see there. No alcohol so no one is acting like retards. Mostly musicians and music industry people. I have been wanting to see him for 23 years. I wasn't disappointed.

Mark Eitzel on the 30th at Tangier's.

Feeling down and terribly lonely. No matter how hard I...

Sometimes never seeing them again IS indeed a good thing...

Knowing that you won't lends itself a certain freedom though, ya know? You can be free to really be yourself or even a bit of someone else because it really doesn't matter in the long run. They'll never get the chance to figure out if your faking it or not!

There's one particular stripper I talked to for a bit, my money in her hand of course that I probably shouldn't see ever again though. I don't know what it is but every time I end up at a place like that and am a little (ok a lot) drunk I feel the need to try to get to know one of them a little. It's the brutal honesty of knowing it's a business transaction and that I'd never get anywhere with her I think so I just say fuck it and pour my heart out to them. They make decent, relatively cheap therapists. At least they act like they care until your time is up, heh heh. Not so unlike the real ones I suppose.

I've been kinda down myself lately too, lonely I guess so I suppose I took what I could get. It made me feel better having someone just to talk to though and I think she really appreciated someone just wanting to talk. In the morning I was a bit embarrased for unloading on a stranger, a stripper no less but what the hell anyway, eh?

There's worse things I could have done...

I am wrestling with gremlins in myu machine at home so I am writing from work. Yea I know Its Sunday.

I saw Peter Case Last night at McCabes Guitar center. It was awesome! An acoustic show with about 60 people. It was like being in someones living room.

Tonight Lloyd Cole at McCabes again! He has been one of my favorites since "Rattlesnakes" in...

Back from Hank the 3rd. He rocked! Except for the death metal opening act and Hank ended the show with Death metal. I just don't dig it. My favorite lyric of the opening act was "CUNT SUCK IT!" over and over. Yep make momma proud. Hank and his band was really good. The base player(stand up) had this whole Golem precious thing going on with...

I am trying to decide weather to go see Hank III Fri Night.

There are a bunch of up coming shows I want to see. Echo and the Bunny men, Beth Orton, RADIO HEAD, Neko Case. Burning Spear.
guitargeek:
You should go see them all.

Had a good time last night. Went to see Elefant at the Wiltern. Had some fun liked the show. The sound system was kind of blurry and muddled. I do feel somewhat out of place since I am two decades older than a sizable portion of the crowd. whatever

I have been searched at shows before but not for chewing gum. surreal I found that somewhat odd....

Ive been looking for a new cell phone I don't have one. My old boss had an extra so I used it since I arrived in LA and I gave it back when I quit.
I stopped in this Nokia place yesterday just to see what they had. Spotted this stainless steel phone. Looks nice and I have had Nokia phones in the past so...

Every time I want a nice shiny new phone I just switch carriers, sign a year contract and they give you a new one!!!

I went to Vegas once and we were walking around in the shops at the Venetian and came across this place that sold fancy pens and cigar cutters and shit like that. There was this pen they wanted $2500.00 bucks for, god knows why. I thought it was ridiculous so I asked the salesperson what a refill for the ink cost, just to be a smartass. She confirmed my suspicion when she replied, $2.50!!!

I'll stick to my Bics and Pentels I think...

Yeah the car... I actually feel kind of weird in it. Been driving beaters for too long. I feel like an ass somehow, like I don't deserve it or something. It draws a little more attention than what I'm used to or frankly, care for. I know they're going to give me shit about it at work tomorrow, a lot of peeps with bad credit or divorcees paying alimony that can't afford decent stuff. I feel kind of guilty, believe that?

Hope the new jobs going good for ya man. Still wish I could find something more in my vein of interest, without a pay cut anyway...

Well new job is good. They take care of us . There seems to be a lot of free food around all the time. With the occasional beer. The projects are not as interesting as I am used to, big hotels and the like, but they have deep pockets so that is very nice.
The size is daunting. So many people. So far so good...
