Worked for a wile today than rode up to Malibu and then down to Venice for some people watching. Malibu is a horrid place full of suburbanite ass hats with too much money and shriveled gray matter.
Wile I was on the Venice pier this guy was talking to the people fishing off the pier. Someone caught a juvenile female thresher shark that was drying out on the pier, the interviewer guy informed us of this. Turns out that he works for the EPA and Heal the Bay in some arrangement and he was gathering information on the fish people are eating from the bay. DDT, Mercury, PCB's and a bunch of other nastiness are present in very high concentrations mainly in the sediments on the bottom of the bay. Malibu is also a hot zone for contamination from septic tanks and domesticated animal waist that is leaking into the bay. Yummy!
