Everyone needs a big BANG once in a while!!!

I like those warehouses I see many of them on my southeast coast drives. Whenever I go in though I never buy fireworks- I am extremely afraid of them- when I was younger I always heard people talk about how many hands and fingers were blown off on independence day.

I love to watch them- but that's it.

I fear you may be right though. Regardless of what my conscious resistance to the idea of becoming involved with a female again may be at the moment, my sub-conscious is beginning to have other ideas... It gets me while I am the weakest, asleep.

I wish I had some words of advice to make you feel better

I don't have the best relationship with my Mom. Actually it's okay on the surface but sometimes I feel it is kinda superficial. I had years of physical and verbal abuse...I never forget the look on my shrinks face when she read the letter of some of what I went through. (I had to write it, I didn't even want to talk about it) but all in all I try not to think about it.

Fathers are overrated. (well maybe not) My dad' hasn't spoken to me in about 5 years because he won't call my mom just to get a number to contact me. If he called you know what would happen?....she would give him my number and that would be the end of it. I can't believe this grown man who is almost 50 can do something that simple to speak to his only daughter.
So if I want some kind of relationship with him, I will have to go seek him out.

Anyhow, you are a great person to stay there and deal with her problems on top of you getting your own stuff straight, I'll give you that.

Sounds nice, my whole family will be going on vacation for a couple of days so I will definetly be asleep for at least 24 hours myself sometime next week!

I've noticed this too, the rude comments some people make to each other on forums and blogs and so on. It's too bad some people have to be such rude bastards. I suppose it's just too easy when it's not face to face... Makes some people's balls grow artificially large.

It is nice on SG, most people are pretty polite, at least unless the topic is rude to begin with We don't have to deal with the random, spoiled 12 year olds spouting off either. Yeah, it's a nice oasis in an online wasteland isn't it? Plus there's naked girls!

I have come to equate my last relationship to a fudgesicle. It was great at the beginning, sweet and satisfying. Eventually, I just ended up with a cold headache and this useless stick that I can't seem to stop chewing on. One more splinter and I promise to throw it away... LOL.

I know what you mean. I've found myself in the position of caring about a persons' welfare and having genuine concern about them yet at the same time being a little angry at them for letting themselves get that way.

Those are the situations that can be the most trying of all. It's a real display of your character to see those crappy times through. Don't let yourself get down if you are doing all you can do.

I hope your Mom's health gets better. Mine has to take like 6 or 7 pills everyday so she has no choice but to be on top of her health issues. I'm the one who needs to be taking better care of myself- I'm exhausted all the time.

That's a damn fine idea, Lordy! I'll start a "non-profit charity organization" I'll call it the Wellness Fund. I'll put donation cartons around town, and I'll get a P.O. box so people can mail me that one dollar a week that "will really make a difference"

Ever see what the presidents of some of those charities make? It's definetly not non-profit for some of them...

I saw the last Star Wars a week ago. I could have lived without seeing it. These newer ones just don't seem to do it for me. They have more action and the effects are improved but something is missing. Maybe it's because I already know the answers to everything.
It's like a magician showed me his greatest trick in the original 3 movies and the new movies are like me having to build the stupid, shiny box with the trapdoor and mirrors to do the trick. In the end, I just don't care.

I know what you mean about hard to get shit done. I consider myself a half assed writer and some days when I sit down and try to pound even a rough draft out, I can't concentrate. I start to think about things I might be missing or things I need to get done. The fact that I'm alone...
Sometimes I can channel the stress and use it to my advantage. The work comes out pretty dark and cynical but hey, that seems to be well accepted, even trendy these days. Maybe try feeding off of it instead of seeing it as an obstacle...
