I've decided to stay in nyc until the end of the year, save up some cash then leave. My mom's attitude toward me and my job is getting to be more than I can bear.
I would still have enrolled while I was up there- but it's too late for me to file for my tuition to be paid by the GI bill I am entitled to because of my military service. I'd have to pay out of my pocket at first- and I just won't be able to raise that amount of cash before next month.
After I knock out my pre-reqs- I'm going to apply to nursing school.....Yeah- I'm a masochist lol
Oh yeah- you are sooo right about that shitty Smirnoff. I am never drinking it again. I never buy that- Grey Goose is my only liquor. But it was all my friend had available at her house.

So I did some poking around on the net, spacificaly in the Maricopa County recorders office. Looks like the IRS placed a lien on my house for the Ex's unpaid taxes. It has since been paid off. Ok, contract law. Yeah, if the contract states that you have to wait for her to sell, then you have to wait. Although, there may be something in the wording that discusses any loans or liens that are placed against the house that are hers, and not affecting your part in ownership. There should be but ... I didn't write the contract so I don't know.
I am not familiar with that state's contract and real estate law. You may have already gone this route but I'd try only a real estate attorney. At least to read your contract and see if you are screwed. They will charge a few of course but you may be able to force the selling of the house to get your half before taxes take over.
Also, I realize the IRS takes precedence in most cases, but it may be possible that your contract gives you half ownership and the IRS only has actual rights to the other half. This I have no idea.
If the bank will consider your contract as mortgage collateral then I'd use it if nothing else.
