Thanks for the well wishes everyone. My fever must have broken in the middle of the night. I woke up at 4:23 the following morning; I'd kicked off my socks and thrown off my electric blanket, blanket and sheet lol. Even though I was still a lil weakened I went into work. This was fortuitous since our driver's father passed Wednesday so he had to leave work and I had to make the afternoon run.

I only have one more (half)day of work left this week and then I'm off until Friday!

Originally there were very, very tentative plans to go up north but they fell through pretty much before they fully formed. I never took my vacation request off the books and my boss and his boss basically told me "you never take time off and have 98 hrs you need to burn by 3rd week September; take the time!" lol

Speaking of work, had our reviews Wednesday. I'm lucky and get two - one for being an employee, one for being management - and my boss gave me several accolades for my work.

Of course I'm hard on myself so I know there's lots of shit I could do better but I'll take the praise where and when I can. In fact my boss said this was the first vacation he's ever been on that he didn't have a single thing waiting for him when he got back.

And since we've already paid for my son's daycare (and they of course won't refund any money) I'll actually have three days to myself.....(hears pin drop). I really, truly cannot think of the last time this has happened. What to do during this time? Any suggestions??

I know I need to start packing this place up. And I need to chew through quite a few things on the DVR (all of last season's The Walking Dead; last coupla episodes of Arrow, Defiance, Beast Hunters and Archer; some movies I never got to see in the theater like The Amazing Spider-man, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Men in Black III). Plus I wanna see Man of Steel. I'd love to see it with my bro but our schedules seem to never mesh. Oh and probably lotsa fappage, too.

Oh and found out last night that my middle niece is going to get hitched at the Pontiac courthouse on July 17th. Talk about giving a heads up! But I understand why; her soon-to-be husband is in the Navy and he's home from deployment right now. He's going to be deployed out to Cali and I think she's following him westward. All in all it's probably good news. She's a very naive woman when it comes to how the real world works, I just hope California doesn't chew her up and spit her out. And I say that because yes she truly believes she'll go out west and WHAMMO stardom will fall in her lap somehow. But as long as she's safe and happy that's what is most important.

Well I better cut this short...ok, guess I've already missed that mark lol. As She-Ra starts playing on qubo I'm curious, am I the only one who wouldn't mind being rescued and manhandled by her?
