I saw a good show last night, the band Split Habit was playing down in Des Moines. I'd seen them once before, and this show I knew their stuff and the setting was a lot smaller. They're a pop-punk outfit from Chicago, and they're a lot of fun. The crowd was there for them, even though they weren't the headliners, and they were loving the crowd and really interacting with them. We talked to them after the show, and they were cool. We should have done some shots with them. Nothing says "I like your band" better than "You're not going to remember the rest of your night."

The headliner was Slaughterhouse 6 (with seven band members, oddly enough), and they were a ska band. They weren't that good, but I loves me some ska, so I enjoyed them, too. And it's good to see that there's still a ska band around.
