Well, I usually go days or weeks without complaining about asthma, but another thing came up that pisses me off. My wonderful insurance company has recently decided to cover my asthma under their policy. So now my "rescue" inhalor (that I still have to use pretty frequently) costs over $50 instead of $10. Worse, I was just perscribed something in addition that would basically make me function like a normal, non-asthmatic individual for the low, low cost (before insurance) of $150 a month. If it was covered, it'd be like $20, I think. So now I pay 5x what I would for my normal medicine, and I really can't justify spending $150 a month for the other stuff. From their perspective, it seems like a savvy business move; they can basically expect to incur a $40 expense from me every month, and if they can do away with that from me and other asthmatic policyholders, then they could save some serious money. But for someone who holds health insurance for such reasons as recurring perscription drugs, it's a crock of shit. Basically, I'm screwed, and there's nothing I can do. I think other companies are doing the same thing. It's a good thing I have alcohol to keep me company.
