I saw a sad thing a couple of days ago. I was driving behind a car with not one, but two of those beige sun screens on her car's rear window. I was thinking, that's kind of dorky, but hey, she cares about her kid. Then I saw the telltale red pinprick and spark shower of a cigarette hitting the pavement after it was tossed out of her window. Then I about lost all respect. So, you don't want the kid to develop a sunburn, but their lungs are beyond your concern. Maybe I'm just bitter because that's how I developed asthma, and it's been a constance source of pain for me. But given the choice between the kid getting a little burnt on the outside, and a little smoky on the inside, I know fucking well what the right answer is, and she should, too.

i know exactly what you are talking about, even sadder is that i cannot convince my cousin who is 8 months prego now to quit smoking, if she werent prego i would kick her ass....anyways, i dont care anymore, i say stuff to people and it pisses them off, but hey, who else is watching out for the kids right?
