i've never claimed to be one of those guys that knows anything about cars. i mean i can change the oil, rotate the tire, and parrallel park like a motha fucka but that is as far as my knowledge of an automobile with an internal combustion engine goes...

...but i can tell you that when a vw golf top speed only reaches 45 mph on...

wow, i have a lot of the movies you like. here at my apartment. does OMD stand for what I think it stands for?
y.v.
yurikoviolet:
yes, we are thinking of the same OMD. I just didn't list it myself because I ran out of room. as for thx 1138 being the inspiration for the misfits song, the jury is out on that one. But it is a fabulous movie.
good taste AND cute.

my friend dedicated his book of short stories to my dog. It read like this...

-for Poet (billy's dog) for "going vegan"-

that there made my week last night!

So nobody really showed up for the show other than the occasional passer-by who came in and took a gander. Everything was still very enjoyabe. All my friends were there so if that is what it...

yurikoviolet:
you guessed correctly, sir. have fun at the show.
h.s.
blush69:
That sounds like excellent fun. Making fun of pretentious people, enjoying fabulous artwork, and eating and drinking all night. *sigh* I want your life, Billyboy. The only part of that I do on a regular basis is make fun of pretentious people. but then again, I sometimes get the sneaking suspicion that I too can be pretentious... even by, like, using that word.
I hope that Blood Brothers show is excellent! I missed them touring with Cursive in athens, and I wanted to die! (even more than usual..)

I didn't like my last journal entry but this one will probably not be much better.

So I'm gonna post some random thoughts and catch phrases.

I'm doing my first, and possibly only, artshow tommorow and I am just now starting to get nervous. If everything goes well and people actually show up I will have extreme social anxiety and have to sedate myself with...

I'm sending you good wishes as your art show is happening right now. 'Hope that the "Two Buck Chuck"worked to alleviate your nervousness. kiss
blush69:
That's so fucking great about your show! I hope it goes well!
Sorry I haven't been around, I had a bit of a crises this week (detailed in my little emo journal) so I've been preoccupied. I even missed the SG burleque show. Bah.
As per out last conversation- gaaah, the Statistics and the Smiths are so good! And I may have been a little harsh to mr. oberst- i was listening to Comm. Venus today and fell in love all over again. The Shins are somewhat brit-poppy, sorta retro sounding too. I've kind of grown tired of the album after listening to it 80 million times, but you should check out the song "so says i" or "those bold city girls."
Enjoy your fancy merlot, you starving artist poser wink

wOOt wOOt...

I got all my classes on the same day! And have a Environment and Human Impact class where the teacher talks shit about Bush and people who drive Hummers and gives wonderful arguments and solutions to persuade others to see things in the proper way. Plus there are numerous, seemingly vegan friendyl, beautiful girls with unbelievable haircuts that attend that class. I actually...

"Ten Banana Cream Pies"

Dangit! As soon as school starts I manage to get my hands on the Family Guy DVD...not good for productivity.

So the car finally bit it. Hopefully it will be fixed by this weekend because I feel bad having to go over and borrow my mothers car because she wont say no no matter how much it may inconvenience...

Weird doesn't even begin to describe this. surreal

good luck getting into that class... i actually just got back from mine (it's a 3hr seminar) and we bashed consumerism ans the treadmill of consumption for a while, then hopped onto the treadmill of production, which we also proceeded to beat the crap out of. Then some poor bastard tried out some "the economy will help save the environment" clap-trap (I've only heard that word. I have no idea how to spell it.)
We tore him up like a kleenex at a snot party.

Sounds like your class needs you like Gotham needs Batman.
wink

AND!!! I'm SO happy to hear you're loving the book & are now taking a psych class! Which class? (this conversation WILL go on forever.) biggrin
toria:
awwww... it's colonel. As a kid, I always thought the guy from Clue's name was Colin L. Mustard. It was colonel. (Kernel? What the fuck. I hate this language.) wink

And too bad about the car... I never saw my oily german again after he left. wink

Talking over people's heads is a favourite pasttime of mine as well... but only really dumb drunk people. Nice drunk people, well, they just don't deserve my wrath.

hmmm. book of poetry & thrift store shopping in one journal entry? then followed up by a Simpsons reference to toga parties? stop being me. malkovitch malkovitch malkovitch, malkovitch. wink
rosemarie:
"Pile of poo-poo" tongue

Did you find anything wonderful at the thrift stores? Did you wear a toga?
I wore a toga once when I was visiting my brother in college. He was into the fraternity thing. It was very surreal. Beer bongs and male to male 'noogies" by the fire pit, bleached blondes with spakled makeup ralphing in the bushes, stumbling pledges trying to dance to the Cult's "Sanctuary".
Very strange bok

What are your classes for this semester?

sort of high and cant of anything too clever to write so I have decided to give whomever decides to read this the journal equivalent of the TV "clip show"...

Ahh yes, I will site the words of another and realize I am more able to copy down someone elses written words rather than think anything new.

"We all understand death far too well and...

Hey thank you for complimenting my bash against Misfits haters in the thread! i was afraid someone would be upset but they'd be a jerk anyhow so whateva. So not only are you cool i see but you have Buff '66 in here and i, too am always 16 clumsy and shy. Story of my life....and u look like this guy i had a fling with who ruled. Ok enough! miao!!
blush69:
Someone mentioned sixteen, clumsy and shy in your replies, a lyric from my alltime favorite Smith's song, "Half a person." That individual has good taste. I'm still in love with Conor, but the problem is, he's so fucking hip. It breaks my heart to see him name-dropped on the OC, I want him to be mine all mine. Perhaps I will just make an effort to stop obsessing over adorable musicians in general, rather than him in particular. That said, is it embarassing to miss a virtual friend? Because I actually thought fondly of you several times over the break and wondered how your life is going. did you get any good CD;'s for Xmas? I got the Shins new one, which is terribly good. Ok, this entry's getting too long, I'll talk to you later.

whoooh...i'm home and drunk. but, instead of just throwing all my cloths and shit on the floor I hung them up. I felt like a very saucy Mr. Rogers.
