So yeah, I thought it might be nice to update even though there is not much to say...

Still looking for a place to live. Went down and looked at a place last night but it was a total flop. I think it should be legal to get one good smack across the landlords face if you ask them over the phone, "What are the...

you should definently be allowed to slap the guy across the face. people are stupid about 95% of the time. what is up with that?
emilygee:
Then you're my official right-hand man. I'll send the documents your way.

Good luck with the apartment search! Moving is my least favorite of activities when it comes down to the logistics. And find some way to relax. Squeeze it in between 11:30PM and 11:32PM?

So this weekend I saw a case of instant karma and lost my cell phone to the Pacific Ocean...the lost cell phone had nothing to do with the case of instant karma...at least not to the best of my knowledge.

On Saturday we (my friend and I) went down to San Francisco to look at a few potential new homes and visit a few potentially...

Could you write me some grants? And... how good are you at making some grilled cheese sandwiches for the journey?

Ooohhh manard! Yet another exciting week filled with more chemistry class, anti inflammitories, and anxiety about finding a place in SF. I had a pretty enjoyable weekend I guess. I gave my friend a mixtape I have been working on for sometime. It was one of those in which every song on there had to fit and nothing was just thrown on there as filler....

Glad to see that you are feeling a bit better. I've had knee problems for the past ten years or so, but nothing even close to your troubles.
I'm pretty jealous about the Broken Spindles show... it happened one week too soon! mad Oh well, next time, I suppose... Here's something that you'll enjoy: Three new Faint tunes! Can't wait for the new album...

I hope you find a place this weekend! You should scour ads for "roomate wanted"; that way you know that it probably isn't an in-law apartment, and you'd probably have a better chance to swaying people to let you guys move in. Especially if there are fellow students living there. Or try looking for studio apartments, I think some are in the 700-900 dollar range, if you can afford that. Or just try squatting in various vacant houses. It's totally bohemian!

cheers doll.

ps. the world is full of crashing bores is a great choice!

I don't know how much longer I can keep up a life of physical pain that causes mental pain, both of which keep me longing for nothing more than simply sleep. I hate to sound like an old man...but take fucking good care of your knees. It has gotten to the point of when I am driving in my car I sometimes hope that someone...

One time, while in the X-Ray room after a car accident, I swear to god I spotted the Flux Capacitor in the corner.

Hope you're able to find some relief to the pain you're going through!

How was your weekend?

aannndddd, I'm back. On Thursday I got my hair cut and then on Friday I got all four of my wisdom teeth pulled. So for a little while my neck muscles didn't know what to with all that lack of weight. You know when a baseball player gets done with his practice swings and takes the donut off his bat and the bat is lighter...

A "right on" I send your way for the new 'do. A "hope the stains come out" I send your way for the gaping wounds. Yikes.

I got paid today. Am hoping for a new hairdo here in the next few weeks as well. I have a hair obsession... I made it a point from first grade through eighth grade to always have a new hairdo for the yearbook. In fourth grade I did that wicked a-symmetrical cut. You know... the one where half the hair is cut up over the ear and the other half kinda angles past the chin. Wild child...
evil_homer:
This just reminds me of how bad I need to go to a stylist, or at least find products that don't make my hair frizz up all retarded-like. My bad hair days are becoming increasingly frequent...
Wisdom teeth removal could always be worse. My best friend had his removed by an family friend who was ex-dentist at the guy's house, with weak over-the counter anesthesia and dental instruments of questionable cleanliness. All because his sister wanted him to save a few hundred dollars... whatever You should save your teeth for backup, so that if you ever get them knocked out in a fight or a freak kissing accident you have replacements that you could just pop right in!

And you asked about finding places in SF not on craigslist... there are lots of places that have "for rent" signs up along practically every street. Basically you just need to walk around a bit and you'll encounter some places. But craigslist is still the place to start. And one other suggestion: try to live with 2 (or even 3) other people, since 2 and 3 bedroom places are practically the same price.

I lost my big pink eraser that has, until today, stood by my side for fours years of my college career. And the poor thing got lost in the Chem Lab of all places...no place for such a close friend to be left behind.

Things are relatively low-flow, homework-wise at least, tonight. Only one lab, one pre-lab, and basic review studying...so yeah. Boring shit. blackeyed

I know what you mean. My stomach has been the source of unending pain for me for ages.

Anyway, just because your life begins in your 20's, it doesn't have to start the day you turn 20. Consider yourself lucky, my boyfriend didn't lose his virginity 'till he was 24, and he wasn't even kissed by a girl until he turned 23. At least you're in a better position than that.

Besides, you live in the States. And you're a guy. So things happen slower. Maybe your life won't officially begin until you are 25, but that's still in your 20's. But what do I know, I live in a nowhere town in Canada and I'm only 18.

First see the priest, and then promptly see the prostitute. I guarentee a clean bill of health. Really.

Sounds like you're friends have strong wills not to have succombed to the tempting superiority that lurks in every corner upon moving here. It's frustrating to say the least. It's hard to tell friends of so many years that they've turned into the assholes they used to complain about.. and that i still complain about.

So be it though, right?

(At least Krain's not trapped in your leg! Damn.)

Oh beans! So I signed up for this summer chemistry class, which is crazy hard, that I need for my major. I thought it started on Monday the 7th until I got online at work yesterday to get the room number and junk and found out that it started at the beginning of this week. It is a two semester class crammed into six weeks...

A Shitload of chem, m'boy.
I don't see why you'd have a nervy-b about your 23rd. I'd give a helluva lot to be 23... I mean, your life begins in your 20s.
evil_homer:
Missing the first few days is bad, but try missing a final! I lost my final schedule about five years ago, and so I just looked at the previous semester's schedule, thinking that the arrangement of times would be the same (they weren't, apparently...). When I went to the wrong painting critique a day late, the professor gave me a very odd "what the fuck?" look and I wondered why I didn't recognize anyone. fortunately he was understanding, but it was pretty embarassing.

Don't worry about the apartment hunt. I found that there are LOTS of places available for decent rates, and not just those posted on craigslist. But make sure you get a credit check done. Every place wants one.

Stay up late doing nothing, sleep in late, go to work, come home and worry about life. Oh yeah Billy, that's really gonna get you somewhere! I have no books to read, none of my friends live around me anymore, and I forgot how much it sucks to try to find a job. And knee pain!!! Oh the joys of a knee problems that actually...

Yes, the lobster as an animal makes me happy. Particularily my stuffed-animal lobster, Lobsty, whom I acquired in Newfoundland. He is fond of dressing up like a pirate. ARRR!!!

Anyway, you seem like a nice guy... may I add you as a friend?
plain_ol_jane:
Oh my dear. Don't you hate it when you drink and don't realize you're not drunk YET because you drank your booze so fast. *sigh*. I too hate to be drunk alone, and have had many a bad experience when I did it.

Anyway, tell me more about yourself... Your bio doesn't really do the best the job, as these things are made to be general.

Okay, Okay! First of all, if you haven't seen the "Saturday Night Live, Best of Will Ferrell" you must, it is like looking into the face of god and him looking back and saying, "You are my most wonderous creation." If you have, good. Think back to that scene where he is the dad who shouts out stuff at the dinner table like, "I drive...

We're looking for Sunset or Richmond district housing, since one of the people I'm moving with is transferring to SF State. Even if it's foggy all day every day all year, I like the idea of cheap rent, ample parking, and a relatively safe neighborhood.
emilygee:
well, conor and joel-peter are two of my favorites... sometimes even crush-worthy when i'm in the appropriate mood.

i think the light poles i am most familiar with require the odd, spiked shoes to really climb up and over. however, how does one get up the metel light poles (without the use of a truck or cherry-picker??) you got me. i think it may be the $60,000 question.
