my friend dedicated his book of short stories to my dog. It read like this...

-for Poet (billy's dog) for "going vegan"-

that there made my week last night!

So nobody really showed up for the show other than the occasional passer-by who came in and took a gander. Everything was still very enjoyabe. All my friends were there so if that is what it takes to get all the people I care about in one room...so be it.

Oh and two girls who were from the "Academy of Art College" (la de dah!) said our "lighting fucking sucked" and the work was "generic". I wanted to tell her that she was wasting money on student loans that she would be paying back until she was in her grave just to learn how to make bad art, but I though it would come out that I was being bitter blush

At the end of the show we all went back and stayed at a friends in oakland, drank wine, got high, and cooked vegan entrees until 4 am.

That sounds like excellent fun. Making fun of pretentious people, enjoying fabulous artwork, and eating and drinking all night. *sigh* I want your life, Billyboy. The only part of that I do on a regular basis is make fun of pretentious people. but then again, I sometimes get the sneaking suspicion that I too can be pretentious... even by, like, using that word.
I hope that Blood Brothers show is excellent! I missed them touring with Cursive in athens, and I wanted to die! (even more than usual..)
