A twofold entry. Part one is an entry: Part two will be a poem (I already posted a poem today on OBLIVION's page, and I figured after I purge all the negative vibes from last night at work, I might feel good enough to do another poem)
Part one:
I hate my job, however, I have to wait a year before I can leave it
(why cannot I leave? : because I got some money from them towards college courses last year (standard thign- however to receive it, you agree to work a year there- or face owing the whole amount back to them upon leaving).
Currently I work with someone whose last name is the same as my supervisor. My regular supervisor is on dayshirt for a few days covering for a person. The person I work with is named Misty.
Friday, she tells me that the 2nd shift quality person stated we are not allowed to fix anything that isnt right- and to write all of it as scrap. I had a problem with that - mainly because my regular supervisor had already told us that our area has double the allowed scrap, and that we need to decrease scrap. And on that note, my regular supervosr was fixing wahtever pars she could.
(bear in mind that my reg supervisor wasnt there because of working on 1st shift)
So, Misty catches up with our temp supervisor (he supervises the whole plant when the reg supervisor isnt there -- otherwise, he has his own area to supervise) -- and tells him that there is a problem (she tells him about what I said- which was that I found that very odd considering that the higher ups want us to decrease scrap- and that if we dont fix the scrap, then they should understand this when the next report on scrap comes out.)
So- that supervisor opts to have the head quality guy come around at 530 am.
When we (the 4 ppl working in the area - that includes Misty) had the meeting- at no point did Misty mention what the 2nd shift quality person said about scrap.
(and today I found out that the reason Misty had a list of questions ready for the head of quality- is that she neglected to mention that the 2nd shift quality person told her that if anyone has questions -- to write them down. )
1. The machine I use was down for an hour before I got there- so an hour's worth of production down the tubes.
2. Today as usual, I ask Misty if she wants me to stop 10 min or 5 min before break so that the racks can be replinshed (since it takes a while to assemble the parts they are to get ready for me to run). The temp supervisor comes around and talks to Misty. After he leaves, I ask Misty again, and she tells me "He said we need to make 9 hours rate in 8 hours". I was surprised with that, and it got me fuming. I continued to work a little bit, and asked her "Are you serious?" ( I wanted to make sure she wasnt joking) and she said she was being serious.
Well, the next time I see the temp supervisor, I ask him about it(without mentioning what Misty said), and he said that if we have any extra time - to try and run a little bit more since we were down an hour.
Later, I caught up with the temp supervisor, and explaind that I was told by Misty that you wanted 9 hours rate within 8 hours, and he said "No: she must have misunderstood". I told him tht the next time he mentions something, could he please tell me directly- but without stepping on Misty's toes-- and he said he would.
Add to this, Misty gets pissed off that she has to work till the end of the shift if we do not stop at least 15 minutes before the end of the shift. ***YET- she leaves the area and stands up by the timeclock (which I was told that is a NO-NO by my supervisor) when she is done with her work at thee end of shift. She has been doing this for a while now.
And Misty has the same last name as my regular supervisor - though she may not be her daughter- they do talk a LOT when my reg supervisor is there.
And if that isn't enough for my day...
Sunday around 3pm, I head out to get a bite to eat- only to return to a note on my door telling me that the owner would like to show off my apartment (as well as the other apartments in the bldg) monday at 10 am -- and that if there is a problem, to call. I called, and told them I cannot do it. 1) I work 3rd shift. 2) landlady has not gotten around to fixing inner ceiling (of which parts fell down from various rainstorms. Since the rain, the outside roof has been fixed, however plaster from the ceiling had already fell down).
The person said "Ohhhh", and said it was OK, and that they were not going to show off the apartment.
(Frankly, I woulde have appreciated knowing about this a bit earlier anyways, so I coudl tidy up the apartment)
Anywyas, I am not certain what will happen- if the bldg will be bought-- but I know that when the bldg first went up for sale, the landlady told me she doesnt have the money to get a differnt furnace (so that leads me to believe that the furnace is on its last legs and that one day it will not work)
Either way, it makes me feel it would be a good idea to find another apartment. (which sux, since I can only afford apartments with utils included)
Which brings me to another item... A differnt car. Jake might have another car lined up for me (assuming things work out). While I think it will be a good idea to get a differnt car, I get the wierd feeling I will want/need to move before I get a differnt car. (I dont know why: it may be paranoia creeping in). I am hoping that if I do opt to move, I do it before the winter sets in, becasue I dont want to try moving when it is cold and snowy outside.
/end purge
Part 2 (assuming I can make a poem here now)
Slowly I thrust the knife
After it hit, I watched her.
She stood there looking at me
As if in slow motion.
I remember all the times
We had: good and bad
But still she never gave
a second thought to me.
Now as I watch the blood ebb away
I wonder if
She ever thought twice about me
when we'd pass in the hall.
Now all of that is soon a memory
As she runs away
From my slowly dying body
Without even a scream.
And I am gone........
Catch ya later
