Diamonds and Holly's!!
I didn't expect to be able to go, but I managed it- and enjoyed every bit of it
I do not know everyone's name, but I had one heck of a good time.
and now, a little side note....
After talking with oblivion last night, I decided to post a HIGHLY ROUGH story I had written back in 1999.
It could definitely use some polishing, but I figure I'll post it here. I think you'll get the jist of the story (adn hopefully you will find it morbidly interesting).

Last Caress

He caressed her lips as a hummingbird would search for nectar. He slipped her head back and looked deeply in her eyes. "I can never leave you," he said while fondling her hair. He only knew love but once and knew it would be the only time he would. He slowly moved his hands around hers ever so gently. He was overwhelmed with the scent she was wearing. He took a deep breath and said "My love, your body in sweet caress: your air is much like that of a newly blossomed rose."
He knew then that his time with her would be over soon. He looked around and said to her "remember all the times you would tell me that the sunrise was the most beautiful sight you had ever seen. You loved looking at it through the trees, watching how the leaves would glisten in the morning dew, how the birds would start their glorious singing to us as we watched them shine through the rays of sunlight. Do you remember?" She didn't speak a word: she just stared forward with not even a sign of a blink or anything.
"My love! Why won't you speak to me! I cant take this again. You won't speak to me at all: all you do is stare! I'm sorry I raised my voice to you. I'm very sorry!" he said while putting his hands into hers.
Slowly the sun started to gain height and it glowed on the rocks and the place where they lay. The birds stopped singing, as if they knew something was wrong. All lay quiet except for him, for he was sobbing.
"I can't take this anymore my love. I try each night to talk to you. I wait here with you so we can both watch the sun rise and hope that you will speak to me in that harmonious voice you have, but you won't."
"My love, if you wont speak to me, then I must do what any honorable man would do." He reached into his pocket and grabbed a long, serrated knife. "You have but one last chance to speak to me," he said as he wiped off the knife with his shirttail.
He gave her a deep, embracing kiss. "You know that we were made for each other," he said as he slowly layed her down. Still she did not speak.
"I have tried my best my love, but to no avail. You still wont speak to me. Then I must do what I have to do"
Slowly he brought forth the knife and, while looking at her, inserted it deeply and twisting it so there would be no hope of repair.
"I will always love you," he said as he clenched her hand and fell to the ground.
The sun, now higher than before, shone upon the place where they lay. The sun's rays glistened off the bloodstained knife that fell into the hole beside the man. The tree nearby only left comfort for the shovel and the mound of dirt the man had made the night before, as he did each night.
