This week has been hectic to say the least: i am glad that the week is over!
As you can imagine, something is weighing on me. I am hoping for the best in that situation (besides - I am as stubborn as a mule - which can either be a positive or a negative....)
I finally got my car bact from the garage this week. It was purchased on May 17th, and on May 18th it went into the garage for what was supposed to be a simple brake repair. Surprisingly enough, the price I was quoted the 2nd day the car was in the garage was the same price it was after the month the car was in the garage. WOW!
In case you are wondering... it is a 1989 Plymouth Horizon. I have found out that parts for it are not that easy to find (and they are expensive).
But, on a bright side, I found out that this cloud has a silver lining------ While looking around the car when I got it home from the garage, I learned that not only is it a dodge - type, but I found the word "MOPAR" listed inside the engine area. I do not know much about cars, however, where I used to live I knew a guy that loved his car (and the fact that it was a FAST car) --- the brand of engine/etc was MOPAR, and I was told that MOPAR is supposed to be a very good type of engine/car(and, if you have the kahooneys) - you could be very quick in a car that is a MOPAR.
So, while I may not be 100% sure of how god this MOPAR engine stuff is, I am glad the car will run well (once all is taken care of )
Oh, yeah, did I mention that a little old lady owned this car since 1997? She may not have known anything about the engine or who should have really been working on the car(looks like whomever worked on the brakes for the lady might have had their head up their ass) -- but one thing is for sure: the interior (except for the ceiling) is in 90% A1 condition. I think there is one burn mark in the seat, but the reast of the seats look as good as they did when the car was made (which is highly odd).
After I get the car paid off, I am going to try and customize it a bit. Not by making the engine a racing type -- but by getting it painted (add in some optical illusions) - and I will get some hubcaps ( I dont know which ones to get yet-that will fit and have the most room to paint them) -- and I want to paint them in such a way that will most likley either blind people if they stare too long, or guarentee that no one forgets where the car is
Well, i think that will do for a post for today. I hope everyone that is going to that cepar point thing -- or whatever it is ( I have lived in Ohio since July 2002 -- and I still do not know all the stuff around here).

i love being the SG dayton-cincy group owner...im so glad they gave us our own group! plus, our group is just awesome!
yeah, lot of stuff going on in the upcoming week...like GWAR on wednesday, SG Lennon @ mcguffys next friday july 1st, punk nite in troy on july 2nd, & pat benatar in cincy on the 3rd...all stuff im going to. i think modvayne has expressed interest in going to some of this...hope you'll be out as well!
