cannot write much now: got home at approx 3 am from work ... and i normally wake up at 6 am for class. I will be lucky if I get 4 hrs of sleep before work - and between class .

When I got home, I turned on the porchlight (even though there is a sidewalk light -- the porch light helps to see the cat sicne she is totally black)

I made a noise- and the mother cat came around-I put my hand near her -- and she sniffed my hand. I brought out some cat food for her -- and I decided I was going to try and pet her -- she ate - and did not jump or anything when I petted her (once). I decided to check on her -- and there it was: she had brought out the kittens to eat the food too! Now that I got a chance to see them all at once - there are 4 kittens. It was kinda funny -- the mother cat and two kittens were eating the food - while the other two kittens were trying to nurse from the mother cat. So, I got another can of cat food and brought it out to her.

Recently, I was going to grab the empty bowls and clean them (so Id have them for tomorrow) -- but when I looked out....

The small kitten (the mostly black one) was still diggin in to the food. I was a bit worried since the mother cat was not around (at least I did not see her). I did not try to touch the kitten-- instead I made the noise (I make when I want to call the mother cat). The mother cat came (looks like she came from the ramp area- but im not sure since it is too dark over there to be sure) -- she came over and sat there while the kitten was eating.

All the kittens are fluffy -- as if their hair was made from cottonballs (which is kind of strange - sicne the mother's hair is short and flat -- not fluffy at all). If I can, I might take a pic somehow and post it on here.
I think you might get a kick out of them.
BTW- the one of the kittens snuck out a bit.... it literally snuck -- it would barely move a paw to touch the ground - then stop for a little bit - then try it again and see if he could go a little further.

***tiny update.... I tried to go out just now (to pickup the bowls) -- there was some food left in one of them....and as soon as I opened the door, the little black kitten snuck out from under the fence to get some food. Im getting the impression that the little black kitten is the runt of the litter -- since he opts to come out and eat when the rest are done. The kitten was looking right at me when I opened the door: the way the cat is marked -- he's got a white spot around his neck- as if he is wearing a fluffy bandana

well, gotta go to sleep--- need to wake up at 630 - then ready for class.....

p.s. ........when i sent landlord my rent for sept, i sent photos of car parked in front of my apartment-- asking landlord that since he told me he'd "check into it"- what was the status - and that the pics would help him to figure out what he was going to do- and let me know because it would determine my status as a tennant.

Well, found out check was finally cashed on wed.
Tonight when I got home from work.... The car (that had constantly parked in my spot) was now parked in the spot for the apartmant that is vacant.

I do not know if the landlord had anything to do with it -- but I sure hope this parking situation is finally cleared up for good.
