Yesterday we all headed to Sonic and to Steve and Barrys -- oh scratch that -- it was dave and Busters.
they dont have Sonics locally - so going to one was a bit different. They do have very tasty food (and I do suspect that If there was one locally, I'd tend to visit it a lot.)
I had never been to Dave and Busters before and so when I got there I was surprised. The arcade section is packed. I got a kick out of the hallways there: they had used an old version of a fan system as a design - and it was nifty: they had posts in the center ofthe hallways where these belt driven fans were toppong the center rods. The belts went from room to room - powering a heck of a lot of fans. They didnt move fast enough to make a breeze, but the design of it was genius in my opinion: always a conversation piece. Heck: the bases of the fan units all had lights in them (while the lights were a tad too bright - the idea was an excellent idea: it highlighted the brass blades of the fans)
My (broken or severely sprained) toe has been strange: it turned black and red- and now this morning is spreading the black color to the next toe (or at least its base). Here is the kicker: there are only some movements that hurt the toe - (so Im guessing that the toe is just severely banged up - instead of being broken).
I have to do my laundry today - but I finally got my parking spot back and Im afraid taht as soon as I move my car- the idiot that has been taking my space will jump into that spot
It pisses me off.
Evidently cats seem to like me for soem unknown reason. There is a cat at the apartment area that for some reason keeps trying to get around me. Jake saw this last night - the cat was determined to either get close to me (but was scared a bit) - or wants inside the apartment. And last nigth the cat came up to me - I showed it my hand (open side) and he twisted his head - so I tuend the palm downward - and the cat slowly came up to me and put his paw on my hand! He did this a few times - changing which paw he was touching my hand with.
Ok- some people might consider that an isolated incident.... BUT...
Last night when all of us were coming home from Dave and Busters, we ended up at a Speedway - and a cat was laying outside the store. After I came out of the store, the cat came up to me and rubbed against me and was getting real close to me -- but would not get close to anyone else.
Im wondering .... did someone sprinkle catnip on me to make the cats friendly to me?
BTW- many people might know this song when they hear it -- but by golly- I dont know anything about the band - but when I looked at the singer, it made me wonder if he was - how should I say this delicately - experiencing something. Go figure.
Well, I gotta go for now..... on top of having to do laundry - I havent done my grocery shopping - so either I shop, or I dont eat

Dave-N-Buster's was OK.. a little crowded and there was Brandy..lol.. I love her but I'm in a real need of a break! I even just ignored her phone call cause I know she would be down here!
Cats like my mom! I'm serious too. We had a momma cat and some babies wonder in about a month or so ago and last week (Friday) my mom took that cat and her kittens to a farm in the next county over (Chamingan) and left them at some farm.. two days later the momma cat was back..just the momma cat! So I had my cousin Adam take the cat and drop it off at Pascal in Shelby county..and about 8 hours later..the cat was back.. we stop trying to rid of it!
Sucks about your toe man..and I hate having to fight for parking places.. my brother has this problem all the time.. street parking sucks! What really ticks me off is that these people who park in front of his house has driveways either on the side of their houses or in the back but refuse to park there... it really angers me. Even when I go to Mikes I try to park up a little ways from his house so if his mom and dad have company over there will be places for people to park..

Its wierd: even at the place my mom lived (in PA), the cats would appear out of nowhere as soon as they saw me or my car.
If the cat still comes around, I'll be nice to it and all - but my lease doesnt allow pets
I left a message on the machine of my landlord about that vehicle taking my parking space. If I do hear from my landlord, I am going to tell him that I'd even offer an additional 20$/month to make that parking spot specifically reserved for me. If a fix for the problem cannot be resolved.... I will try and wiat until I find out what happens with the stafford loan. IF I get it this year (normally I do get it- but with all the b.s. from the head of financial aid - I dont know what will happen) -- but if I do get it - I will put aside some money in case I need to find a differnt apartment. It sux that I might end up doing that -- but I look for safety and security when I have an apartment (along with cheap) - and with the situation as it is now- Im not too happy.
If that vehicle continues to park in my spot, I will take photographs of the vehicle and send them to my landlord. There are 2 kickers to this whole thing:
1 - the apartment next to me is EMPTY - so why the heck is the vehicle taking my spot when there is an EMPTY spot from an empty apartment???
2 - Jake took notice that the vehicle's owner is on the OTHER SIDE of the complex. WTF the driver feels the need to be such a LONG distance away from his/her apartment is crazy.
See- I write a lot too
