The blasted heat!
While it may be 89 - 90 degrees outside, it has got to be at least 20 degrees additional in the warehouse. And in my area (the spot I work all my myself) it is dead air: little to no circulation. Lets just say that it is an experience in itself trying to endure the heat while doing heavy lifting for 8+ hours. It is soo hot in there that sometimes my temples start giving me pain.
Strangely enough, I am anxiously waiting for the weekend so I can get some rest (and of course, if everything works out, go to cinny as planned)
Today is August 1st: the date that the edison bill has on it as being due. I have checked the school's website and it states that my loan is "pending" - so I am not sure when it will be processed. I contacted the loan company and they told me that they have not been notified by the school to process any loan for me - so I dont know what is up yet. The only thing that has me sort of calm- is that the loan place stated that once the school gives them the information- it would take 24 hours to process it. We will see if it works out. I have already tried in vain to get a responce from consumer advocates. I hope things get settled before I have to get the books for class - or else I will refer all problems to the financial aid head.
On a side note:
Q:..... Why did pinocchio's girlfriend leave him?
.............
A:......Becasue he gave her splinters!
ha ha ha I kill me
........
Q: what did the testicles say to Puberty???
.....
A: You bring me down! (moan - hiss hiss
)
........................
I guess that is it for now: my tired butt is waiting to get on the futon.

p.s. I jsut thougth of something I wanted to add....
On good morning america, one of the hosts mentioned that she has breast cancer. Kudos to her for going public with it -- but I do have a bit of issues with it:
* she will get the very best of care
* she will not have to worry about insurance covering it all (especially since MOST of the time the TV station in question would flip the bill for the surgery - and then tape the suregery for a segment of their show.
Maybe I am the wrong person to be bringing this up - but...
* most women do not have insurance that is as helpful as the GMA host's
* most women would end up being in debt because of surgery (as would any guy if he needed any type of medical treatment/ tests)
Please correct me if I am wrong - but typically medical insurance puts people in debt anymore - becuase if you really do need something (as in tests/ surgery/etc) it isnt covered, or if it is, the amount they reimburse you makes you wonder if you had insurance in the first place).
BTW- in no way am I trying to downplay breast cancer: I am trying to make a point that most people cannot afford to get checked/tested for what ails them - unless they are willing to break their wallet. With that in mind - what kind of quality of life does a person have if they are left penniless because of a required surgery? Can't help it: I question quality of life a lot.

i used to work in a factory similar to yours where we had no ac, just fans! and the warehouse had no windows so all the fans really did was blow the hot air around. at least we were able to wear shorts to that job, i think back to that job and i dont know how i survived the heat.
