School really is f'n with me: I got an e-mail from the fed financial aid -- the school FINALLY gave them corrected information and now my stuff can be processed. Why the F it took from the beginning of June until now for them to do ANYTHING is beyond me. But it does back up my belief that the school's system (not the instructors) are inept.
at one point the school wanted to verify my financial stuff - and they got that in the beginning of June.
Then - roughly 3-4 weeks ago the lender wanted to verify that I was enrolled - and I went to the school and had them send out the information for that (which I rec'd a letter that stated I am still enrolled)
Only after I receive a bill from the school for fall's tuition - and go up there and talk to them about WHY - and then today I get an e-mail from federal financial aid --- it makes me think they ONLY corrected information this week.
Their financial aid department - as well as their job placcement departments are worth diddly squat.
they cannot get financial aid figured out -- and the job placement section .... they claim they are there for you -- however:
1 - NONE of the people in the department communicate with each other.
* I filled out paperwork allowing my resume` online through the school. Another department member e-mails me a few days later telling me that I need to fill out paperwork to allow my resume` to be online.
2 - they are hypocrites: they have on their website that if you have a Hotmail or Yahoo e-mail accounts - to add the school's e-mail address to the "safe" section -----YET - when you e-mail that depaertment -- THEY HAVE HOTMAIL LISTED AS SPAM. SO, anytime I need to reply - their department ppl dont get it - or only selective depeartment ppl get it. The one that I dealt with - has it labled as spam --- SO- its as helpful as shit.
Sadly it is the only local school. I do not have a reliable (aka new) car so going to a differnt school isnt a good option.
All I know is that my school's systems sucks -- the instructors are OK -- but the system sucks donkey balls.

I'll be the first to admitt.. I don't care for Edison but it's close so that's why I go plus when I first started it was a fairly cheap school..like 70 a credit hour.. now it's 109 a credit hour.. making one class 327 to some thats an entire paycheck, or even rent! It's not a great school either
