for those who do not know, I am going to college part time and workign full time. considering that the current job went to 10 hour shifts back in may (it was supposed to be temporary but it became permanent) i rarely get more than 1.50 - 2.0 hours sleep daily. This catches up with me many times. And sadly because of the limited time I have between class and sleep and work, it is very difficult to get all my homework done and on time. Last weekend I did try to enjoy myself for a little while per night- and unfortunately it ended up causing me to be majorly backed up with my math work. Luckily my teacher was nice about it-- and allowed me to finish them this weekend, but she told me that I need to be ahead anymore so this doesnt happen again. Heck: she was extremely nice about the whole thing -- and graded my notebook on such a curve that i got a 18 out of a 20 (when in reality i think I shoujld have gotten 5 pts). So, I am heeding her words and getting my stuff done now. Top that off with art class - and the teacher wanting me to fix my big project -- THEN adds another project right on top of it for me to do (knowing full well that I spent LOTS of time on the first project and now she expects me to do more) -- My artwork will defintely reflect my feelings towards this, and hopefully she will get the (not so) subtle message that I need rest and that piling up things on me will end up with me shutting down for that class.
While i do enjoy taking time off from doing all this homework, I found out that it has a side effect of causing my system to "slingshot" with sleep. In other words, when I get a chance to enjoy myself for a little while, my body starts to get tired quickly -- and then when I do go home, instead of being able to do my homework, my body is sooo tired that i end up sleeping 8 + hours in a shot, which causes me to be unable to finish homework. Needless to say, it isnt a good situation- and the only way I can correct this is to have a job that wonly works 8 hours a day -- but that is assuming i get a chance to go to a place to apply.
Also, this past monday I had to file the paperwork to sue my former landlord: she never responded to phone messages or the registered letter in reguards to my deposit return. However, I receive a printout the first week of October with a handwritten amount stated that I am ahead for the week after july 29th. My reasoning is that if the landlady could send that item soo late (and to the old address) she could have easily wrote on that receipt for me to call her -- or explain why no deposit back. Since she has not mentioned anything I sue her.
And, after taking a look, I was told via a pamphlet that I am allowed "double damages" -which means double the deposit back to me -- sicne she never responded within the 21 day window after I moved.
(the money -- should I win -- will come in handy to help pay off an old debt to someone)
well, gotta go-- math is waiting for me to get more done.
