This week has not been kind to me one bit.
Sunday, I felt like crap, and the subsequent days have not been good either.
I did start the new job, however, it seems like thye expect you to know a lot from day one. Here is a rough explanation of the job's duties: start slicer up. get 2 presses running and check each part from press (not spot check: each piece). stack the 2 different parts on tubes, then sleeve them and pack them(which included putting a bag around them, inserting them into tubes, then capping the tubes, taping box shut, write up and stick lables on box, put box on rack. You do that for both presses WHILE the slicer is running, and when the slicer stops, you iinsert another sleeve to get cut. When you are done with that (fill up as much area as you can so that you can keep one press filled with parts), you switch over the slicer so that you can cut the other part that the other slicer currently is pressing. This continues all through the night, making sureyou do not run out of parts for either press or slicer. You get one 20 min break the whole night.
You also have to write down your progress per hour (rate) for each item (and try to keep track of it while calculating it and keeping everything up and running too.)
Funny thing, is that a coworker thought I shoudl already be able to do all of that on my 2nd day.
Anyways, getting back to feeling like crap.... the last day of work was Wed night to thurs morning. You would think that since I have time off, Id be wanting to do stuff, however, the way I feel, I am better off staying at home because at some points I feel weak, or downright nauseaus: neither do I wish to be feeling when I am going out.
I still have to do some shopping yet, and that will be a task for me- not only dealing with traffic, but also dealing with not feeling well at all., and feeling worse when shopping.
