I think being in love is overrated, so much drama, intensity and daydreaming is not healthy, besides it is so easy to confuse with so many other emotions like a whim, passion and even being thankful or curious or just liking someone a lot, admiring a person or wanting to be like him/her... and there you are! thinking you're in love when you're not! Making stupid promises to yourself, the subject of your admiration and the world that you're not gonna fulfill simply because even though you think this is gonna last forever is not! it's not practical or doable.
Most of the time you're just afraid of loneliness (which is not the same as being alone, this last one is quite enjoyable).
Now loving someone is total perfection... because you keep your senses and being like that doesn't interfere with your life at all. It can last because is not an illusion and you're able to take good decisions without a cloud of misty dreams hindering your mind.
Some people think being in love and loving someone is the same. I strongly disagree. They're not similar at all.
