Carmen is one of those things you've probably seen too many times and yet you can still enjoy, when executed properly. I really wish I could watch Otello, though. Last time I went to a big opera event was in 2006, for Rigoletto, the production value was great, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I ate a cookie! Not a box of cookies, a pint of ice cream, some laxatives and some diet pills-- just a cookie! And I didn't starve myself to "earn" it, either. I wanted one cookie. I ate one cookie. This is amazing to me. I'm really, really proud.

Last night saw the last show at the Marquee Lounge/M&R Bar venues. My band, when I had one, used to play there all the time, so I went down to mourn the loss of an amazing performance space and celebrate the company of amazing friends.
