H-- talked to my mom and brother on Skype today. My father said he "couldn't talk," which means... whatever that means. I hope he will talk to H-- eventually, or he'll probably regret it.
Next week I'll tell my mother I got a job in Japan. I've been trying to build up to the news slowly. I think she'll be more prepared and maybe take it better now that she's spoken to H--.
He was great. He said all the right things. And he said he would talk to her again, any time she wanted, so I think that was good.

New York is an excellent city, but it's pretty cool to know I'll be living near places like this:
