I'm depressed on and off about H leaving soon. I'm so glad to know him and be with him (for the time that we had and still have), but I can't believe that two people can be so happy and have it taken away from them so easily. Well, OK. I can believe it. I'm kind of cynical. But it still sucks.

I can tell you this. Whether it's a long term relationship where one gives his or her heart and soul to it, or whether it's short-lived, intensely physical and passionate, it hurts when it's over. I had both types of situations, practically back to back. They both ended, each for a different reason. While it hurt immensely that they ended, the memories of both of them can never be taken away from me.
I hope you can treasure the memories of your time with H. That way, he'll alwayus be with you.
