I think it's time to update my journal but I don't have anything interesting to talk about.

So here's my favorite quote from The Little Prince (en anglais):

"It is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye."

woooo I get to go SHOPPING today! Not just any shopping, thrift store shopping! Cause I'm poor. I really like thrift stores though because it's like you're on a HUNT FOR THE PERFECT SHIRT! And when you find it, you only pay like $3 for it!

I started painting again. I'm really happy I did and I'm happy with how it's coming out so far....

Do you know about the Salvation Army Secret Room on Van Ness and Market? There's a bank of america there and around the courner east is an industrial double door that is always open. everything there is a dollar fifty and you find some kick ass shit. Nobody really knows cause it's unmarked and not advertised but it does exist. it's like the lost city of atlantis of thrift stores.
lola:
No, I didn't know about it but thanks for telling me! I love exploring new thrift stores!

On July 15th, I became the proud owner of a brand new ibook! YAAAY!!!

On July 17th, apple released Jaguar, the new version of os x. YAAAY!!!

On July 17th, I went to apple.com to download Jaguar, only to find out they want $150 from anyone who didn't buy a mac on the 17th or later. WHAT??! BOOOOOOO!!!!! After spending over $1800 including a 3-year...

you might be surprised at what a well written letter can grant you. there exists still a rule that the customer is always right. it's not always true, but I'm certain you could persuade them

I got my powerbook in January at the apple store in glendale. The day after I got my mac they got the powerbooks with the cd burner dvd combo drives. I called the store manager and told them that I saw my computer for sale at Frys with cd burner for the same price. She gave me a external CD burner priced at 300 for free! When your giving them three grand for a computer they need to work with you a little

I spent last night waking up every two hours thinking I was late for work. I HATE THAT. Why does my unconcious like to torment me? I'm already tormented enough by just about everyone else in the whole world, I don't need it from myself too.

Someday soon, I swear, I will feel pretty enough to take pictures for my second set.

O and s5...

PPG rock ... Lola, been to see the PPG movie? I haven't had the chance yet. I noticed PPG stuff in the bg of your pics -- how big a fan are you? How do you rate them compared to, say, Hello Kitty?
joyrider:

Wow. Happy birthday to you. Were you in the city for the 4th to experience the tame, uneventful holiday (except for mine)?

I had such a kick-ass weekend...it was Pride Weekend here in SF and Saturday I watched the Dyke March and then went to the Castro for the huge dance party in the streets! There were some really cute boys stripping on rooftops and also firedancers...I also went into the Midnight Sun to use the bathroom and get a drink, I went in the girl's bathroom...

I don't really have anything to say but I felt like I should update my journal....

Just a blatant ploy to get at the top of the girls list, you say? MAYBE.

At least I'm honest about it!

Less than two weeks to my birthday and I have had horrible back pain for 3 days. If this is what happens when you turn 22, I...

they have pills that stunt your growth but I think you have to get in on them when you're young. I was fortunate enough to receive them from age 6 so I haven't grown since then.
Say, has anyone seen my strawberry shortcake doll? I thought I left her next to tenderheart bear...weird

wow...I just got back from the art store (that's the actual name of the store!) There's nothing like spending $50 on art supplies to inspire some creativity...

I was supposed to go down to Santa Cruz this week from Tuesday to Thursday for some R&R until my boss told me she needs me to work on Wednesday. SUCK. I was really looking forward to spending...

I got to see one of my favorite people today who I hadn't hung out with in a long time. He took me for a ride on his new bike (Ducati 900 something-or-other [excuse me for being bad with bike names]) and we had sushi. It was so good to see him but he's going through a hard time right now and I felt like...

Closer is an awesome song, and Radiohead is kewl. I love music. I dont want to piss the other S Girls off, but you are by far the hottest chick I have seen in a long time. Read anything by Dean Koontz? Alice the puter game is sickingly sweet. Green Anarchy: Against corruption of power and authority.

I'm feeling much better today. 10 hours of sleep and a bowl of Frosted Flakes are always good therapy. Thanks for all the supportive posts!
I"m going to the library in a few hours and I need book suggestions! I"m trying to find good contemporary authors since lately I've just been reading the "classics." My current favorite contemporary authors are Irvine Welsh and David Sedaris,...

Choke by chuck. It's fantastic. any chuck is, really. You'd be surprised at what you come out with when you're done with his books. now I know how to get blood stains off piano keys and how to kill myself while cleaning a chimney.
