I've forgotten how to blog it seems. No seriously, I probably spent 10 minutes looking around for the button to start a new blog post.
I can't say exactly why I haven't written in a little over 5 months. It has been a wild five months. In that time we sold my house, put a deposit on house to build and eventually sold my mother's home. It has been a trying 5 months. My mother's home was too small for us to live together and not feel in each other's space. It was uncomfortable and depressing. While I'm thankful I had a place to live, and I know things could have been worse, there were times when I was completely crushed, especially at the times where it appeared we would not sell my mother's house and would not be able to buy the new home they were building for us.
In those 5 months, I managed to learn the fundamentals of C++ and refresh my HTML knowledge. Working in C++ solidified my desire to change careers. Teaching, is not for me. I got more joy out creating rudimentary programs than I have gotten out of teaching for years.
Things are changed, now it's just time to let life catch up to those changes and move forward. Also time to clear off my treadmill and get running, that's an easier feat than it sounds, the garage where the treadmill is, is overrun with boxes.
