My mother has been coughing up blood for the last week. She has an appointment with the doctor on Wednesday. She smoked for almost 30 years quit a few years before my dad was diagnosed with his cancer, then started smoking again shortly before he died. She's been an on again off again smoker ever since. I'm scared. I don't think I can watch yet another person I love battle cancer.

Thanks all. Right now all we have is the waiting game. Not sure even after her appointment how long we'll have to wait for results.
