Listening to Ani....

today i renewed my belief that Ani DiFrano is one of the most amazing musicians and story tellers around.....she is responsible for getting me out of the funk that i've been in lately....i don't have to fake not being depressed anymore.....even if i'm not really happy, i'm content where i am because i know that i'm doing the best i can in the situation that i've been given....if chris chooses to prioritize differently than i do, there's nothing i can do about that and i needed to let that go......and if my boss is an asshole who fucks his employees at every chance, then i will do the same to him........what i won't do is lay myself down to be trodden upon and then wonder why it is that i'm bruised and bleeding.....instead i will make the decision to show others that i am as strong and intelligent and resourceful as they are and force them to treat me as an equal...."i just got sick and tired of being sick and tired all the time, you know?" i have no idea where that quote is from, but if i did i would credit it's author....that and hedwig and the angry inch is a fucking awesome movie that everyone should see.....
