so, i don't know if anyone else is aware of this, but doc martin shoes come equipted with an anti traction system. uh huh, on packed down snow, or ice doc's actually allow the person wearing them to float just above the surface.
that is why my doc's stay in the house for most of the winter, but the other night i wore them to work, and forgot to change into real shoes before i walked my 110lb dog. at first it sucked, he was excited, and i couldn't run with him so, it was a lot of "heal", "stay", "stop pulling".
finally i gave up, and as we started down the slight hill of our drive way, i said," pull. " so, he did, at a dead run for about 30 yards. it was like water skiing, ice skating, and dog mushing, all at the same time.
oh, and yes, i did totally crash and burn. my ass still hurts, but damn it was fun. i love going fast.
