Ugh, apparently in my last entry I should have started, New Year, new home, new JOB! I cannot take this bull crap anymore! The management at my full time job is friendly but intolerable. They do not pay attention to small details, they do not talk to each other, they do not even remember when they had you doing random other work for two days solid and they yell at you for not doing enough of your primary job.
They make promises they do not keep. They put me on payroll and let me get halfway to benefits and then took me back off for no reason, with no explanation and no understanding of why this might be a not nice thing to do to an employee. I was told when I started that it would be 3 months until I got benefits which means they also lied to me.
So, other than perhaps taking all this up with the better business bureau - anyone have any suggestions? Or happen to know of job openings in Toronto? Most job sites are shit it seems... well shit in terms of entry level, decent-paying jobs.
Still, all in all, in better spirits than could be expected. Starting to get used to being shat on by my employers over and over again, not that this means I will just accept it, just that it pisses me off a lot less than it used to. I really want to go back to school but I cannot afford it until I marry the boy (OSAP is really nice about money if you are young and married but apparently common law doesn't count) but we can't afford to have the wedding my parents want yet so... forget that for now too.
So apparently this is just the way things are here. Yeesh. I have never had a boss that expected me to defy the laws of space & time in order to complete my job. It really is rather much and so...
I am going to get out of here, the only thing that might change is whether or not I cause them a whole lot of shit when I do.
But yea, if anyone knows of jobs in the GTA - throw me a bone and I'll love you forever!! In fact, if you find me something that works out really well I will even send you a portrait of my naked little arse for your own collection!
