The Hobbit!!!

Just got back from the IMAX theater. And holy shit, did I love that movie! I feel like giving a little review. No spoilers or anything, don't worry. ;)

BILBO- Bilbo's a little badass. We get to see why his sword is named Sting. (Readers of the book already know) That was fun! All the good times they had in Mirkwood. any arachnophobes out there? You'll enjoy it. Haha!

DWARVES- We get to see Bombur do more than just eat this time around. And I was impressed. As seen in the previous film, most of the ridiculous stunts are performed by the computers. As the would need to be. And the stunts are quite cool. And being awesome, hilarious, and badass all at the same time. I found myself laughing pretty hard at some of the fights they had.

LEGOLAS- Yes, Legolas had a much larger role in the movie than the mere reference he had in the book. But totally worth it if you like watching him kick everyone's ass! I know I do. He gets some hand-to-hand action in there briefly too. Orlando Bloom and Evangeline Lilly (she's so pretty) pair up nicely in a swirling vortex of Orc death. Haha!

SMAUG- Saving the best for last, Smaug is the most amazing dragon I've ever seen!!! They did an fantastic job making him look reptilian. And his enormity is only enhanced by Benedict Cumberbatch's absolutely powerful voice. Not only does he voice Smaug, but he also does the voice of The Necromancer. Anyway, amazing dragon. ;)

Fair warning, some of you may not like where they end the movie. It seems rather sudden, but you may see it coming. Don't worry, it's not really over. ;) But there's no need to sit through the credits either if you're expecting something at the end. There's nothing. I can't wait for the final installment of The Hobbit to come out!!!

Well, I hope you all go see it. It's worth going. Good night.
