Home was good this past weekend. Ate, drank, drank some more and had a chance to swing by Newbury Comics. We don't have that store up here and selectionwise it's hard to compare. I bought a Spooky Tooth CD, "Spooky Two" which I'm really getting into. The keyboardist and second lead singer of this band was none other than Gary Wright, long before his Dream...

Chew on this while I'm away: "Stephen Stills and Manassas" is the ultimate great forgotten album by a Major Artist and the greatest representation of the Stills Groove.

Off to ski Wachusett Fri afternoon and visit the fam all weekend in Worcester. Beers will probably be consumed with certain family members. See you all back here on Sunday evening.

Y'know, I love boobs and I don't even enjoy Foghat all that much, due to my over-exposure to their music working at a classic rock station. I need to get my priorities straight! (I'll hand it to 'em though, that attempt to fuse the words to "Honey Hush" with the melody and riffs to "Train Kept a'Rollin" was a blues summit in itself surreal )

Anyway,...

So you work at a radio station? How is that? At one time I wanted to do that for a living, but I changed my mind.

Oh, and boobs rock. wink

I don't know what rocked more about Friday night.

Was it my fucked-up-ness, the most fucked up I've been in this calendar year? Nah.

Was it the AC/DC cover band I saw? Ehh, been there, done that.

Was it the raging drunk new secretary for the company who grabbed my hands, put them on her boobs and said "warm me up?"

Sorry, not even that....

Dude, I think I usually try to have one of those nights once a week. However, no one ever tells me to warm up their ta-ta's... you little pimp you. I was at the same show as NordicGoddess last Thursday, and that little thang was traaaashed! She made me look like a saint. However, I put the pedal to the metal at Hookers & Blow Friday night.

Ahhh, those nights always rock.

There's a bit of snow blowing around today but I don't expect it to stick. That's fine by me. As long as the nights are cold enough and there are enough 45 degree days through this month I'll have plenty of perfect ski days, like the one I had at Sunapee on Wednesday. A co-worker and I just kept ripping down the Blast-off trail trying...

Another week wraps up and what a warm week it was. I squeezed in some bona fide spring skiing at Okemo VT, resplendent in just my usual Hot Chillys layer and fleece vest. And sunburn. I seem to get more sunburns in March skiing than I do anytime in summer doing anything outdoors. I don't consider myself much of a mogul skier but with soft...

Didn't go to her house, but her and I both went to her brother/sister-in-law's house. We both passed out on seperate couchs. I think I would have been plaing with a wet rope anyway. Oh well. She was dumber then a post... literally.

yawn.

So tired this week. Hit the slopes of Berkshire East yesterday which is in Charlemont, MA. Decent little mountain but the grooming could be better. Plus they have those godawful orange streetlamps for night skiing. I'm a white-light kinda guy when it comes to night skiing, but that's just one scrawny man's opinion...

Now that I'm going to be one of five public address...

So Thursday night they did the "open call" for the PA announcer for the new Double-A baseball team in Manchester. Turns out it was a big media event, both WMUR and WNDS had camera crews and reporters there, and theUnion Leader covered the event and stuck it on Friday's front page. I was confident enough in my speaking voice that I didn't have too...

Indianhead slope conditions.... pretty fucking good. Slopes showed little wear until the second half of the day when a breeze showed it's head. Minimal skiers on the slopes, no problems with chairlifts, overcrowding or problems getting a cocktail at any of the chalets. Received 6 fresh inches Friday evening.

The best part about this years trip to the U.P.... I didn't have to go to the hospital!

So we're back into a mini cold snap here at the West Lebanon office. It's currently 2 degrees or some such temperature and I think maybe I'll goof off, drink beer and watch movies all day. I haven't done that in ages.

So I wonder what my last five CD purchases say about me... they are the following:

Marshall Tucker Band "A New Life"
Outkast...

That OutKast CD is amazing... got it for xmas, can't stop listening to it... best song is #2 on speakerboxx, "Ghetto Music" I just fucking rock out to that song in my car. I'll be listening to that this summer while driving to yankee stadium to watch Jeter and A-Rod kick the CRAP outta everybody else. GOD it's good to be a yankees fan.

WHOSE CURSE IS WORSE, BABY!

Good luck tonight! kiss Tell us how the audition goes.

I've boldly gone where I've never gone before musically. I've been known as a rap/hip-hop hater my entire life and I've never had any apologies when it comes to this matter.

After weeks of debating and deliberating and considering... I did it.

I went to the rap section, pulled out a copy of "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below" and paid hard-earned cash for my first ever CD...

If you're looking for a "rap/hip-hop" type of thing that doesn't sound like ANYTHING else, I strongly reccomend Jurassic 5. I fucking love 'em, and I, like you, traditionally HATE hip hop/rap shit.
