Today I had a broadcast at Okemo, for their job fair. In a fit of randomness, happened to meet a girl who grew up in my little hometown of Princeton, MA. That was a small-world shocker.

The drive back from Ludlow VT to I-91 midway through October is always one I cherish. The foliage is past-prime but not completely gone. I was listening to The Church's "Heyday" CD which fit the scene perfectly--wistful, slightly gloomy but somehow beautiful. Not an easy album to find but if you can track down the version with the bonus cut "Trance Endings," get it. "Trance Endings" may be one of the most beautiful songs recorded in the 80s by anyone. A few years later, they'd go on to have their only hit, "Under the Milky Way."

So tonight, Red Sox v. Yankees Game Three. Pondering whether to see who's at the local watering hole or just chill at home tonight and watch. The ex-girlfriend wants to "hang out" and watch the game tomorrow. We'll see what that's all about confused

The score is 13-6. I don't even think a miracle could save this game. *sigh* I hope you aren't ragging on "Under the Milky Way." I love that song. surreal

Have fun watching the game with the ex. Maybe you'll get to a few bases yourself? shocked (j/k)

I find it amusing that whenever I try to summon "Under the Milky Way" out of my memory banks, "Under the Tahitian Moon" or whatever it is called plays in my head. What can I say, I'm a geek and for some reason I feel I have to share this with a stranger. confused

It's looking pretty bleak. I think I'll turn my TV off now. *sigh* Night. kiss
