Don't let this morning end.

The forecast for today originally presaged doom and gloom and cool weather and buckets of rain. The cool weather is present this morning but it's gorgeous out. Granted, it's only the first week of August, but cool almost-autumn mornings are what I live for and are often a prime motivator for me to wake up early. Certainly it will get hot and muggy and summery once again, but I don't mind the occasional autumn tease.

Driving around this morning I landed on Vermont Public Radio and they were playing this haunting classical vocal piece. It just seemed to fit the scene. I wish I knew who/what it was. Then, I stop in to the bagel shop I frequent and they were playing Stevie Wonder's "Songs in the Key of Life," one of those albums that just stops me in my tracks. It's an album that truly inspires me in ways I couldn't express verbally.

Everyone has an album that inspires them, grabs them emotionally, etc. What's yours?

there are so many songs that inspire me that it's so difficult to say. but, there is a huge difference between a single inspiring song and an entire album. if I had to pick one, right at this second it would be the smalls' last album, my dear little angle. it's amazing. the more you listen to it, the more that becomes apparent. anyway, moving on.

i've never been out east; that's a roadtrip waiting to happen. smile have you ever come out west here to ski? what's the skiing like down there? the rockies are my mountains, so lucky to have them right here.

your job sounds incredible. my take is, money isn't as important as the job itself so I say ski your heart out!! I've got a boring desk job and would only be able to teach on weekends.
