I'm still around. I've been focussing on my personal life the last 6 months, it's been pretty up and down and I don't feel like I'm making any progress at all, but things are starting to shape up now, slowly... when I get time to write up a proper blog maybe I'll go into that a little! for glimpses of my day to day life you can follow my main instagram account, @ lizzieskyllas
I've currently got 6 sets in the queue, probably the least amount I've had in two years.
I had to step away from shooting SG for awhile for a lot of reasons, but now it's time to slowly come back a little. I mostly want to shoot a couple of sets here and there of people I really enjoy, and take my time preparing and shooting the sets.
as much as it was fun to blast shoot and spend months editing and smashing heaps out, now I want to take the time to put some real effort into my sets to make them stand out. show that a lot of thought and hard work went into it.
maybe it's this constant neck and back pain that makes me want to slow down, or maybe I'm just finally finding a speed that works for me. I've been overworking myself for years, I thought that would get me ahead in life - but it didn't. it actually held me back while I fell apart and had to rebuild.
I went through the entire queue again tonight, something I used to do all the time, but now hardly ever!
so many amazing sets to come out, and so many new girls who grabbed my attention from just their set's cover photos!
I've followed about 30 models in the last hour, I really hope to see every single one of those girls become official Suicide Girls too.
Special stand out was @elisarios, holy wow you are really really something.
You seem to only work with downright incredible photographers, and you just show your best work (which is all of it!)
I would absolutely love to cross paths with you someday.
I'm feeling pretty inspired lately, which is great timing because next week I'm confirmed to shoot with @angelgore and @ainslie which I absolutely can't wait for... and also on the horizon to confirm for the near future (and I'll chase up with you all as soon as I can!) with @electra, @mandajune, @twitchling and @pebblezink.
I'm still trying to organise a trip to Brisbane, I've tried three times this year to make plans but they keep falling through! I'll keep everyone posted if I manage to actually book it in soon!
I need to hit the hay, it's been a long day. Tomorrow I'm spending the day trying to catch up on some editing before I shoot all these new sets, and then in the evening I get to pick up my boyfriend from the airport. he's been in Perth all of two days and I miss him way too much, we probably spend 5 days out of every week together lately. To say I'm attached is an understatement!
