I know I know, everybody is talking about the death of Micheal Jackson. I seem to be fixated on it. All I have listened to is his old music and watch videos. I grew up with him. I was born in 1970 in the Bronx New York. He was probably my favorite singer from the time I was a baby until I went to College. I went to sleep to his albums for years. Last night Ellison fell asleep to the first CD in the new 5 CD box set I bought first thing yesterday morning. I had to drive 45 minutes north to find it. I called before I shoped and everything Micheal Jackson was sold out all over town. I feel so lucky to have gotten the last box set, possibly in the tucson area! Its got a lot of new stuff on it that I have never heard. Haven't really been it his music for a while. I just been listening to the old stuff that brings back memories.

I know some people feel like he should not be respected and remembered because he was accused of child molestation. First off, all the good times and good music and that I speak of happened way before any of that. I have memories of Coney Island and riding on of those little roller coasters that goes round in circles then backwards to Don't stop till you get enough. with my big cousin Yvette. I drove my parents crazy playing the Thriller album over and over. I saw The Wiz a million times.

By the time he was a accused of these things he had already brought so much irrevocable to my life. Second, I've always had my suspicions of those allegations. Lets see if I can explain what I am thinking. Don't get me wrong, he was obviously innapprotiate with children. But, "inappropiate" and "molestation" are not the same thing. I've read a lot about his childhood and I honestly think he could have known what an appropiate adult/child relationship involves. He never experienced that as a child. He thought he was a child still because he had no childhood. He was forced to rehearse 10 and 12 hours days when he was just 6 years old. He never went to school or had friends like regular kids. He never even had a girlfriend when he was a young man. He was treated like a God wherever he went because he was Micheal Jackson the boy star. How can you be a mature appropiate adult if you haven't learned how. Thats the problem with a lot of grown ups out there, they didn't learn as children. Lets not forget the all the money and high profile stuff involved. The first pay off was somethingk like 30 million.

So anyway I got this box set with all the classics on it it. I like I said I haven't really listened to the new stuff yet. But from what I can tell it was of unity, heal the earth and peace for humanity messages. It looks like he might have finally grown up in the end after all. He had to have learned from his life and had a message to all. He was 50. I am looking forward to exploring it later on down the road. He may have lost his audience for political reasons but he never lost his ability to perform.
