I'm really nervous. I have court today. I don't really have a case but I am going to beg the judge for mercy. A few months a go I got pulled over for a busted tailight. The cop ran my plates and turns out my registration was suspended. That was because A few months before I had let my insurance lapse for over 30 days, because I had no money. That caused my license to be suspended, which I was totally unaware of.
The fine for driving on suspended plates is $550! I have to do everything I can to get out of that, because I don't have the money to pay it. Even if I did have the money, I don't want to pay it.
I know how these things go, I should have been aware, done the right thing etc, etc, etc. I am just going to beg and plead for anything the judge may give me. Today is the day I take out my nose ring, cover my tattoos and kiss as much ass as I need to.
Its worth it to get out of paying $550.

So I went to court. Made myself look all nice and respectable and was ready to kiss whatever ass I had to kiss.
Pointless!
The judge said that it was not in his power to suspend or reduce the $550 dollar fine. I would have had to get that taken care of throug the DMV, which it was to late to do.
Fuck honesty in the future. I should have had my mechanic write a phony repair bill for me. He would have done it. He said so and berated me for not letting him for it. They not going to audit his records or anything crazy like that. He simply would have said that the car was at his shop when my insurance lapsed and the registration was suspended. The DMV may have called to verify the repairs, and he would have said "yes, I did them on those dates."
He suggested I do this and I refused. I thought it was dishonest and I might get caught. Now that I think about it, there was NO WAY I would have been caught.
No I owe this lame ass city $550. Payable at $25 a month until paid.
