Quick update:
Convinced the new girl (we'll call her 'Nee' from now on) to go to the local open mike night. She's been out of the live performance thing for a while now and I decided this would be a good way to ease her back in. I'm not one for easy complments, and I have to admit she is really fucking good. Or at least she has the potential to be. And I've always been one to champion others talents. Once she gats ove tt he nervous thing, and can perform without smoking herself into a state or courage, she'll be somehting worth seeing.
I like her influence in my life.
New roomate moved in tonight.
He is the awasome. He listens to Fela and Femi Kuti...and Prefuze 73. We set up the awsome table and booth set he built last year. He's promised to build me a new custom sewing table (for mutual benefit, as he wants new projects for his portfolio).
Got another design offer from the theater. This is great cause my savings account could use a little show money at the moment. Plus, its a modern piece, which means the investment time should be minimal while still giving me access to the stock and shop...and I need access to the stocka nd shop to be able to pull of this charity event I so boldly signed up for.
Veryvery very old friend wants me to come see his show in charlotte. He did the mask work and i want to support him. I believe in the power of old friends. People who new you before you present incarnation force you to reevaluate and defend your self definition. Still, there are obstacles.

There are always theaters up here in Asheville looking for costume designers. Most of them pay. If you want Ill keep an eye out for any opportunities.
