Not so much awkward, more just weird. For me, them, and those around these two were the core of many peoples lives. It may sound strange but I would compare it to large family whos parents have just split. Awkward will be thrown in there when we're all together.

Because I'm quite aloof I get some strange looks 'till I start to talk w/ them. At that point it's like, everythings cool, or verbally just undermine. Not the most positive thing in the world but it's better than gettin' in a stupid fight. There is more to say about just letting things go and ride the flow. Meh
