so i get this phone call at 1:30 am. Its David
"Amanda, I wanted you to know that I love you. But I gotta take care of some shit and I might not see you for awhile. I'll call you tomorrow if I'm not in jail."
I tried to get him to tell me whats going on, and just forget things, and come to my house. He says he definately cant come to my house.
He's drunk, mad, driving a borrowed car. I know he went to get his boys cuz I heard him honk the car horn.
He says "I gotta go now." and hangs up the phone.
Now, I dont think hes in jail. I called him this morning and his phone went straight to voicemail. Later on in the day, it rang 4 times(which means he must have turned on his phone). Right?? Right?? Now its back to voicemail. So I sit and wait.
Well, at least he told me he loves me.

I think your right, ether he is turning his phone on and off or he is going somewhere that has no service.
