Please suggest good books, current or not, that I should read.
And why I should read them!

A Dangerous Fortune by Ken Follet
A Complicated Kindness by Miriam Towes
The Time-Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffen-something
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling
Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell by some woman who wasn't at all irritating to read, which is good, because I generally hate the way women write.
I think I'm in the mood for something fluffy, so no Oprah Book-Club style shit where it's got some deep hidden meaning or an air of futility and fatalism.

If you want somethin' fluffy, go read some Maeve Binchey, she'll make you wish you could live in Ireland in the fifties. I like Circle of Friends.
