AND it's spring!
AND in two weeks today, it'll be Funday, April 3nd, which means that I'll be spending the entire day with my best friend, one Mr. Kid Continuty, plus doing all of the things I like* AND hanging out with all my other friends.
In WINNIPEG!
I am very much looking forward to getting the fuck out of Dodge. Or Whitehorse, as it were. I'm going all kinds of batshit up here. It'll be nice to be somewhere with tall buildings and traffic and shopping malls, where it takes more than 20 minutes to drive across town the long way.
Eventually, I'll be there for good. I just have to be patient and it'll happen.
I've promised.
*Things that I like to do that I'll be doing on Funday, April 3nd:
Games at the casino (the dead cats and dogs slot machine, specifically, plus teasing the fish in the walk-through aquarium, even though they don't really know I'm there and don't really mind anyway.)
Seeing my brother's apartment for the first time and teasing HIS fish in his ordinary aquarium.
Going for gellati at G.G. Gellati and Sugar Mountain for all kinds of candy, for both immediate and future consumption.
Going to the Comics America (incidentally, in Canada) store to pick up - if they have it - the first and third Ojo books, all of the We 3 books, and to look at the figurines. My best friend doesn't know it, but if they have any of the Star Wars Unleashed figurines - or something of a similar caliber - he is getting one for his birthday. And he's the one shopping with me!
Going to the mall to ALL of the stores, plus going to Best Buy and Old Navy - for clothes for me and birthday clothes for Kid Continuity - and Jysk and wherever else I can think of to go and shoving lunch in there somewhere.
Going to the Elephant & Castle - where I've never been - for snacks and beers and gift-giving with all my friends: Melanie, Russ (that be Kid Continuity), Chris and Krista, Larissa and my baby brother benjaminfree.
Summing up the day at my friend's house for a little gluttony (he makes the best air-pop popcorn, plus the biggest big gulp I can imagine drinking and redwhips, plus my "for later" Sugar Mountain candy) and movie-watching (I'm torn between Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, which I love and have seen once, and Superman: The Movie, which I love and own) and comic book reading (both stuff that I'll have purchased that day and stuff - mostly Kieth - that he's pulling out when he comes across it for me to read.)
FUNDAY FUNDAY FUNDAY!!!

I should just drive up to the border for crunchies, and to say that I've been to Canada since I've never been. Sounds like a nice plan for a weekend in the near future.
Have you seen "Dead Like Me"? If not, rent it. You'll enjoy it. A lot
Everyone I know (all 4 of them) had never heard of the program
Anyway, didn't know if you had seen it or not and thought I would spread the word.
I haven't seen season two yet, but I'm dissapointed in the cancellation.
Oh yeah, what are Matchmakers?
My friend Duncan is fine. We got very intoxicated last night, and he got laid! After three trips to the US and now, finally, he gets some. We're so terribly proud of him.
He brought me two very large Cadbury's chocolate bars with Crunchie bits. I shared half of one with everyone at the party last night but the rest is all mine!
Spaced is about, well, let me copy the back of the box;
"Spaced revolves around two idle twentysomthing flatmates- immature skateboarding would-be comic artist Tim (Simon Pegg), and moody, responsibilty shy writer Daisy (Jessica Stevenson), and their self induced lack of success in employment, relationships and life in general. Together with their odball assortment of friends and nieghbours: Marsha, Brian, Mike, and Twist, they exist in a world perched precariously on the edge of normality"
Ok, crap description. Tim and Daisy fake being a couple in order to rent a nice cheap flat in north London. I've only watched the first two episodes, but a good portion of the comedy comes from geek references. The cover of the box is a spoof of a Star Wars poster with the cast.
I'm really surprised that this hasn't been released over here with the popularity of Shaun of the Dead
