Black Eyed Children are a Folk phenomenon of people having strange encounters with paranormal children whose eyes are completely black.
According to Wikipedia these paranormal children are often between the ages of 6 and 16 with pale skin ,completely black eyes, and out of date or strange clothing.
Some people have also reported seeing black eyed children that have "talons for feet" or other demonic attributes, but most sightings are of seemingly normal children.
While their black eyes and out of date clothing may make them appear strange, what generally frightens people isn't their appearance but the sudden overwhelming feeling of terror that accompanies the children.
Many claim to encounter them Hitch Hiking , Pan Handling, Or even at their own front door step. They always ask for something that involves being in close quarters with you. They ask for a ride in your vehicle or insist on entering the home to use the phone or warm up.
Tales of black eyed children have supposedly existed since the 1950's, But the earliest reported sighting was from a Texas reporter named Brian Bethel in 1996.
Bethel describes encountering two such children in Abilene , Texas in 1996 and claims that a second person had a similar unrelated encounter in Portland, Oregon.
The story has been added to internet creepypasta lore, but to this day Bethel insists the incident was real and happened exactly the way he reported it.
Some theories about the black eyed children is that they are vampires, aliens , or of a completely demonic origin.
In 2014 a British paper "supposedly" reported that sightings of black eyed children are rising around the world.
Are Black Eyed Children Real?
While I can't claim that the stories of the black eyed children are real, there's good reason to suspect that they could be.
-Bethel insists that his story happened exactly the way he originally reported it.
- There are also Many independent eyewitness accounts spread out through multiple countries who have described similar experiences. They corroborate with each other, with the same M.O.
It’s also important to keep in mind that the black eyed kids story isn’t *that* phenomenal. If someone were making up a story, they might try harder to make it more interesting or fantastical. The situations described seem creepy — but not like the plot of a horror movie. Just an everyday situation with some kids in it that seem strange.
