Went to IHOP this morning, for a breakfast date with my bf. I had the fruity something or another combo. I loooovvveeee bluberry pancackes. The waitress was foriegn, so she sounded like that charachter from Pulp Fiction when she said bluberry pancackes, which was so great!
I watched Clerks again last night, for the first time since highschool. And I have to say, not impressed, just like I wasn't impressed in highschool. I mean... I get the idea...there's the dork working 9-5 in some shit-hole, who obesses over some ex-grilfriend, and then he realizes how in love he is, after his stupid video store clerk-friend overly genearalizes everything there is to life. Yeah, it happens. And there are some funny parts....i.e. berkirker! and the ex fucking the dead fat guy. But besides that the dialogue is mediocore, the acting is HORRIBLE, and Kevin Smith's speaking part is just reiterating what Jay says right before him (the part about his girl bringing him lasagna at work).
So, I dont get why everyone thinks its such a classic.
Can you tell me why?

Fishing isn't lame! At least not ocean fishing... I kind of think lake fishing is lame. I was in Florida, too, so the surroundings were amazing

Yeah it is okay... just like I got the first season of Ren and Stimpy for my birthday from my sister... I loved it what 10 years ago, now... meh not so much but it like I am sure to the people whom are big fans of clerks have some kind of emotional attachment to the picture and get some other gratification to watching than that of most people.
